Program Director

Neal Bennett

Neal has worked in the film, television, and video production industry for over twenty-five years. He continues to freelance for various production companies and create unique media solutions for his clients. Striking a balance between working as a professor of practice at Rutgers University, running workshops,  and staying active in the field helps Neal develop current media programs and share with his students the latest updates in technology, workflows, and industry trends.

Program Supervisor

Laura Transue

Laura brings a wealth of experience in teaching and mentoring students. With a background in independent film and 10+ years of experience in higher education, she specializes in guiding students interested in media, film, and communications and encouraging their growth as professionals, creative storytellers and leaders. She holds degrees from Cornell University and Rutgers University and is passionate about diversity and equity in the media industry.

Program Coordinator

William Hutton

William is a site supervisor for the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County. He brings his experience of working with students enrolled in enrichment programs to the Industry team. Will focus has always been on creating a safe and supportive learning environment with the goal of strengthening communities. 

 

William also has certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED, and Epinephrine auto-injectors.

Program Secretary

Christine O'Brien

Christine has a BA in Psychology and graduate work in Education.

She has administrative assistant experience with a film school for teens and is currently employed with ESS as a substitute teacher.

She is passionate about mentorship and enrichment programs for students.
